Import your leads from a CSV or Excel file
You bring a whole list of leads into Syncdo at once. Use it when you move from a spreadsheet or collect a list of enquiries. You can take an import back later.
Which plans have this: Importing works on every plan. On Free, an import stops at the 100-contact limit and says how many were over.
Steps
- 01
In the dashboard, open Contacts and click Import CSV.
Save an Excel sheet as CSV first.
- 02
Choose your file and match its columns to Syncdo fields.
Phone is the only one you must match. Then choose Preview.
- 03
Give the import a batch name and choose who gets the new leads.
Then choose Import N contacts (the button says how many).
- 04
Read the result: how many were added, and each row left out with its reason.
- 05
To take an import back, click Imports beside Import CSV, choose Delete on the batch, type its name and confirm.

Questions, answered
How do I import my leads from Excel?
In the dashboard, open Contacts and click Import CSV (save an Excel sheet as CSV first). Match your columns to Syncdo fields (Phone is the only one you must match), click Preview, give the import a Batch name, choose who gets the new leads and import. To take an import back, open Imports, click Delete on the batch, type its name and confirm. Importing works on every plan; on Free it stops at the contact limit and says how many were over.
Does importing send a message to anyone?
Importing doesn't send anything by itself, but any automation you've switched on for imported leads can send messages.
What happens if a number in my file is already a lead?
It is not duplicated. Its details are updated the way you choose under Advanced: updating existing leads: Replace if empty (the default) fills only blank fields, Overwrite replaces them. The lead keeps the batch and owner it had.
Can I get back leads I deleted with an import batch?
No. Deleting a batch removes the leads with their deals, reminders and history, so it cannot be undone. Only an owner or an admin with permission to bulk-delete can do it.
