Syncdo (“Syncdo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Infix Commercial. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Syncdo Chrome extension and web dashboard (together, the “Service”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Syncdo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@syncdo.co.
When you sign up for Syncdo, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, and basic details about your business (industry, business type, country, and language preference) that you provide during onboarding.
Syncdo is built to help you manage your business contacts on WhatsApp. When you add a contact as a leadin Syncdo — whether manually or automatically as you open a chat with them in WhatsApp Web — we store that contact’s name, phone number, and any additional details you choose to add (such as company, email, city, notes, or custom fields).
We only store information about contacts you have explicitly added as leads. Syncdo does not read, store, or process your entire WhatsApp contact list or every conversation in your WhatsApp account — only the contacts and conversations you bring into Syncdo as part of using it as your CRM.
For contacts you have added as leads, Syncdo stores the WhatsApp message content exchanged with that contact. We store this for a specific, limited purpose: so that our AI can detect customer intent, generate a conversation summary, and draft replies on your behalf, and so that you have a record of your conversation history with that lead inside your CRM — the same way any CRM keeps a record of customer communications.
We do not store, read, or process messages from contacts you have not added as leads, and we do not access personal WhatsApp conversations unrelated to your business use of Syncdo.
We automatically collect some technical information when you use Syncdo, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage logs (such as which features you use and when). We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to diagnose technical issues.
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment partner, Cashfree. Syncdo does not directly collect or store your full card or payment details — these are handled entirely by Cashfree under its own security standards and privacy practices. We receive and store only the information necessary to manage your subscription, such as your plan, billing status, and transaction history.
We want to be specific and transparent here, since “why does a CRM store my customers’ messages” is a fair question.
Syncdo’s entire purpose is to act as your business’s customer relationship system, built on top of WhatsApp. To do that — to show you your pipeline, detect what a customer wants, draft a reply for you, and remind you to follow up — Syncdo needs a record of the conversations and contacts you’ve chosen to manage through it. This is the same reason any CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or a simple spreadsheet) keeps a record of customer interactions: without it, there is no CRM, only a messaging app.
The key distinction is scope: we only store data for contacts you have deliberately added as leads in Syncdo. Your personal chats, your conversations with contacts you’ve never added to Syncdo, and the rest of your WhatsApp account are never touched, read, or stored by us.
We use the information described above to:
We do notuse your business data, your leads’ information, or your message content to train AI models, and we do not sell your data to third parties.
We share information with the following categories of third-party service providers, each of whom processes data only as necessary to provide their specific service to us:
| Provider | Purpose | What they process |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI | Powers AI intent detection, conversation summaries, and draft reply generation | Conversation content for leads you’ve added to Syncdo, sent to OpenAI’s API for processing |
| Supabase | Database and data storage | All account, lead, and conversation data stored in Syncdo |
| Railway | Backend server hosting | Processes requests to operate the Service |
| Vercel | Hosting for our website and dashboard | Standard web hosting and delivery |
| Cashfree | Payment processing | Billing and payment information for paid subscriptions |
We require these providers to handle data securely and only for the purposes we’ve engaged them for. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers’ information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
We retain your account information and lead/conversation data for as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account or a specific lead, we will delete the associated data from our active systems within 6 months. We may retain data for a shorter period where operationally possible, and longer only where required by law (for example, financial records related to billing, which may need to be retained for tax and accounting purposes).
You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@syncdo.co, or, once available, directly from your account settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@syncdo.co. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, secure hosting infrastructure, and access controls limiting who can view your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information and will notify you in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, as required by applicable law.
Syncdo is operated from India, and our service providers (including OpenAI, Supabase, Railway, and Vercel) may process and store data in countries outside your own, including the United States. By using Syncdo, you consent to this transfer and processing of your information.
Syncdo is a business tool intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction. Syncdo is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children.
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies necessary for the Service to function — such as keeping you logged in and remembering your preferences. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or tracking.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service, and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Syncdo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
