Add a lead from a chat

You turn someone's chat into a lead in a few seconds. Use it when a new customer messages you and you want them in your list.

If your workspace reaches its lead limit, Syncdo says so and adds no more leads; nothing you already have is deleted.

Questions

How do I add a lead from a WhatsApp chat?

Open the chat and click Add as Lead in the lead panel. Their number is filled in; type their name and anything else you know, leave Lead Stage on your first stage or change it, and click Save Lead. To bring in earlier messages, click Import History (or skip it).

What if the number is already a lead?

Syncdo checks first. An "Already a lead" panel appears, and nothing is saved until you choose Update it with these details, Open the existing lead or Cancel. Messages, notes, assignment and the created date always stay.

Does opening a chat make it a lead?

No. A chat becomes a lead only when you add it. Group chats are never picked up.
